The young teenager below named Samuel was taken in by the Dominicans in Kisumu for whom they struggled for over a year to get his surgery performed by the national hospital in Nairobi. The tumor was benign but so large it was life threatening. He had zero money and lived in a mud hut in the middle of a sugar cane field. The Brothers of Charity (Mother Theresa’s) and the Dominicans were able to work together to bring about the change.
